CPG is managed by a team of seasoned business professionals, highly
respected for their accomplishments in the US and international
business arenas.
Jackson Tse
Founder, Chairman and President
Mr. Tse has over 30 years of senior management experience in
international business, focusing on China and the Asia Pacific region.
His expertise includes business development, strategic marketing,
brand licensing, original equipment manufacturing, global sourcing,
and formation of strategic alliances for cross-border business and
real estate investments. Mr. Tse has built successful distribution
networks for branded American products and services in China, Asia
Pacific and Europe, ranging from high performance sports equipment to
advanced electronics. He was President of USTech, Vice President of
Asia Pacific at Wizards of the Coast/Hasbro, and Senior Vice President
of International Business at Advanced Biometrics Inc. He consults for
various US corporations in China and Asia Pacific in the area of
product development, brand marketing and product distribution.
Mr. Tse graduated from the University of Colorado and attended
graduate schools in aeronautical engineering and business at the
University of Washington, the Massachusetts Institute of Technology,
and the Harvard Business School. He is a board member of the
Washington State China Relations Council.
John Jordan
Co-founder and Vice Chairman
Mr. Jordan worked for Boeing Defence & Space Group for 14 years in
Advanced Launch System Design, including the Sea Launch commercial
launch vehicle program. He joined Wizards of the Coast, then a game
company start-up, in 1993 as Director and Senior Vice President
International Business, and grew its international sales from zero to
over US$600 million per year in five years. During this period Mr.
Jordan localized Wizards' core brand into nine different languages and
established four offices in Europe and one in China, distributing to
over 50 countries and eventually exceeding the company's domestic US
core brand sales. In his final year at Wizards he served as Senior
Vice President New Business Development, and company sales exceeded
US$600 million. Mr. Jordan left Wizards in 2000 after a sale of the
company to Hasbro for several hundred million dollars. He currently
serves on the Board of Trustees of Cornish College of the Arts, the
Board of Advisors of Velocity Capital LLC, and the Board of Advisors
of the Seattle Book Company.
Mr. Jordan graduated from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in
Aeronautics and Astronautics. Mr. Jackson Tse, the Chairman and
President of CPG, was a colleague of Mr. John Jordan at Wizards of the
Coast.
Sidney
Rittenberg
Senior Advisor to CPG
Mr. Rittenberg is currently the President of Rittenberg Associates,
Inc. Since 1986, he has been a senior advisor to major US and
international corporations doing business in China. His clients
included AIG, Intel, Nextel, Teledesic, Digital Equipment, ARCO,
Hughes Aircraft, ICO, Pricewaterhouse Coopers, Ford, Nintendo USA,
Trammell Crow, Prudential Insurance (UK), Levi Strauss, Hershey,
United Conveyers, Dan Rather (CBS News), Billy Graham and Family, USIS,
etc. He has been a partner in the consulting firms Index Group and
Kamsky & Rittenberg. He was the Vice Chairman for Asia at Computerland
Corporation.
Mr. Rittenberg lived and worked in China for 35 years. He had worked
with Chairman Mao (founder of the People’s Republic of China) and was
a friend of the late Premier Zhou Enlai. He was close enough to late
premier Deng Xiaoping to persuade him to agree to his first television
interview with a Westerner: Mike Wallace of 60 Minutes. He maintains
close relationships with people in high places in Beijing as well as
in Washington D.C.
Mr. Rittenberg graduated from the University of North Carolina and
attended postgraduate studies at Stanford University. He is a Director
of the Washington State China Relations Council, and a member of
Rotary Club International.
Joe
Borich
Director and Executive Vice President
Mr. Borich is currently the Executive Director of the Washington State
China Relations Council. Prior to this, Mr. Borich served in the US
Foreign Service from 1972 to 1997. In the Foreign Service, he served
under every US president from Nixon to Clinton in a China-related
capacity. His last assignment was as US Consul General in Shanghai
from 1994 to 1997; he previously helped open that Consulate General in
1980. He also served as Director of the Taiwan Coordination Staff in
the Bureau of East Asian and Pacific Affairs in the Department of
State, and prior to that as the last Deputy Chief of Mission in the
former U.S. Embassy in Mogadishu, Somalia.
At the Washington State China Relations Council, Mr. Borich leads the
only State-level association dedicated solely to promoting trade,
cultural and academic relations between China, Hong Kong, and the
United States, representing over 200 corporate members such as Boeing,
Microsoft, Weyerhaeuser, Frank Russell Co., Costco, PACCAR
International, Starbucks Coffee, major ports, banks, law firms, and
other manufacturers, retailers, and businesses in Washington State.
Mr. Borich graduated from South Dakota State University, and attended
the University of South Dakota Graduate School and the US State
Department Executive Seminar.
Phyllis
Lee
Director of Operations, CPG USA Head Office (Bellevue, Washington)
Ms. Lee has spent more than 30 years in the import-export business
between USA and Asia. She was the Director of Operations at a major
importer-distributor of music and educational publications in Taiwan.
After immigrating to the USA, she was for three years the China
Communications Manager and Chinese Language Editor at Wizards of the
Coast/Hasbro in Seattle, managing product localization for the markets
of China/Asia and assisting in managing relationships with the
government and trade sectors over there. At CPG, she is in charge of
international trade operations, traveling to meet with CPG
distributors at major trade shows and events that promote the export
of CPG’s branded products and services. She works closely with CPG’s
global logistic teams in worldwide delivery of products. When she has
time, she teaches Mandarin Chinese to colleagues at CPG as well as to
executives of other US companies.
A graduate of Taichung Business College in Taiwan, she has taken
various executive educational courses on business at leading American
universities.
Marilyn Gregg
National Sales Manager, CPG Gourmet Organic Foods
Ms. Gregg has more than 20 years of professional marketing and
sales experience in American consumer food products, starting with
Tree Top Corporation. She also has more than 15 years of experience
in management of food service operations, working for McDonalds and
Taco Times. At CPG, she is in charge of setting up, training and
managing a network of national sales agencies which represent the
organic gourmet food products produced by CPG. She is in charge of
trade shows and exhibits for CPG in the gourmet food trade in North
America.
Nathan Bailey
Representative, CPG Oregon
Mr. Bailey is in charge of CPG Oregon, an office/showroom set up by
Mr. Bailey to manage the business of marketing the gourmet food
products produced by CPG in the State of Oregon. His other roles
include securing and managing a licensed line of apparel and
accessories which CPG has designed and produced for a national car
club affiliated with a very famous Italian sports car brand. He also
works with other key CPG sales associates across the country on
projects involving the sourcing and original equipment manufacturing
of consumer products for major national brands in the USA.
Terry
Wade
Manager,
CPG Wine Business / Richland Hills Cellars
With over 30 years spent in international trade and transportation,
Mr. Wade has extensive experience in the distribution of wine in the
USA. He has imported wine from Europe and sold them to wine shops,
upscale grocery chains, and specialty food retailers in the USA.
Today at CPG, he handles the import, export and distribution of CPG’s
premium wine and wine accessories in the US market.
Peter Wong
Director, Engineering &
Technology Projects
Mr. Wong brings to CPG more than 20 years of experience as a senior
project manager, focusing on construction and other engineering
projects. Prior to joining CPG, he was hired by a major Hong Kong firm
that transferred him from Seattle to China, where he lived and worked
for more than 6 years managing the development of express ways in
southern China and the construction of office-residential complexes in
Beijing. At CPG, he handles projects that involve technical design and
construction, special tooling, custom molding, and product testing.
He graduated from the Hong Kong Polytechnic University, obtained his
MS Degree in Engineering from the Loughborough University of
Technology in the United Kingdom. Even though he operates out of CPG
in Seattle, he maintains his professional status as a Chartered
Builder in England and a Registered Professional Engineer in Hong
Kong.
Sasha Fang
Representative, CPG Beijing Office
Ms. Fang has been active in US-China business since 1991. She
represents CPG in contract negotiations with Chinese companies on
technology transfer, product distribution and sales, original
equipment manufacturing, and joint ventures. Ms. Fang represents CPG
at trade shows in China. She participates in selected US trade
missions to China and arranges for visits to CPG in USA by Chinese
trade delegations. She has successfully brought in financial
investments from China for American firms. Ms. Fang has also been an
acclaimed professional photographer, having had her own studio and
covered such events as the Goodwill Games, APEC Meeting, former
Washington State Governor Locke's visit to China, and former president
Bill Clinton's visit to Seattle. She graduated from the University of
Washington and attended graduate school in business.
Jeffrey
Pang
Director of Business Development for CPG, South Eastern China Region
Managing Partner, Café LaVita, Yangzhou, China
With more than 18 years of experience in the import-export
business, Mr. Pang is well versed in all aspects of doing business
with Greater China, in both the civilian and the governmental
sectors. He is a Director of the Seattle Chinese Chamber of Commerce;
Chair of the Sister City Committee for the City of Kent with China’s
Yangzhou City; and also Chair of Kent’s Friendship City Committee
with China’s Shunde City, Foshan City, and Guangdong Province. He is
a member of the Diversity Advisory Board of the City of Kent. Mr.
Pang has organized and led numerous missions to China for the City of
Kent and Washington State, encompassing trade development, cultural
and educational exchange. With his extensive network of contacts in
China, Mr. Pang has introduced numerous American corporations to China
and assisted them in setting up their operations in China. He is now
focused on doing this for CPG.
Joyce Kwan
Director, Sourcing and
OEM Services for Apparel, CPG Hong Kong Office
Mr. Kwan has more than 25 years of experience in the sourcing and
manufacturing of apparel and related accessories, ranging from woven
to knit in fabrics, from tops to bottoms in garments, from adult to
junior in sizes. She is in charge of supervising the apparel
factories that produce for CPG and its clients; these factories being
located in China, Hong Kong, Macao, Vietnam, Cambodia, Thailand,
Burma, and Kenya (Africa). While making sure that these factories
meet the Social Compliance requirements of major American and
international brands, Ms. Kwan oversees the teams in charge of product
development, quality control, intellectual properties protection,
quantity assurance, product safety testing, and worldwide delivery for
CPG and its clients.
Pancho Serame
Director of Operations, Philippines
Mr. Serame has more than 20 years of professional experience in
finance, real estate development, project management and public
relations. He is in charge of developing and managing the business
for CPG in the Philippines and nearby region, using his extensive
network of contacts in that part of the world. Operating out of
Seattle, he travels to the Philippines frequently and is in charge of
all business activities in the Philippines for CPG, including trade
shows and promotional events in the region. He is responsible for
managing relationships for CPG with the government and trade sectors
of the Philippines. He and his team oversee the development and
operation of Café LaVita and Richland Hills Wine Club throughout the
Philippines.
Jerome Gunarso
Director of Operations, Indonesia
Mr. Gunarso has more than 15 years of experience in managing
franchised convenience stores, gas stations and automotive service
centers in California for ARCO. He also has extensive business
experience in the area of international shipping and transportation.
A graduate of Untag University of Indonesia in mechanical engineering,
he obtained his MBA from the University of Phoenix. He is bilingual,
being fluent in English as well as in his native tongue of
Indonesian. At CPG, he is in charge of developing the business for
CPG in Indonesia.
Phil Meech
Product Director,
Stellar Breeze Organic Coffee, Div of CPG
Mr. Meech is the Roast Master for CPG’s Stellar Breeze line of
organic coffee, which is freshly roasted in Seattle everyday for
shipment to all points in the USA and worldwide. Mr. Meech has spent
more than 10 years as an artisan coffee roaster and teacher of
roasting technology and techniques. He travels to the coffee growing
countries of the world and personally selects the finest beans for his
roasting use. In his lab at the roasting plant, he blends the beans
and roasts them to the cupping specifications of Stellar Breeze. Mr.
Meech also serves as a consultant to other roasting operations and
roast equipment manufacturers in the USA.
Pierce Watters
Product Director,
Stellar Breeze Tea, Div of CPG
Mr. Watters is passionate about tea. He has undergone several
years of intensive study on tea under a Chinese Tea Master, and
together they have published a book on fine tea from China for the
American public. They are now putting together their second book on
tea. Mr. Watters is in charge of product development for the Stellar
Breeze line of premium tea, selecting the finest varieties of tea to
be marketed under the CPG label. He also teaches the art of brewing
and enjoying fine tea to the American tea connoisseurs. Prior to this,
Mr. Watters has spent 30 years in the publication and circulation
business, including five years at Wizards of the Coast, and after that
at Paizo Publishing, where he handles the distribution of their novels
and magazines throughout North America.
Brena “Rose” Gustafson
Product Director, RC
Chocolates, Div of CPG
Ms. Gustafson, affectionately known as Rose the Master Chocolate
Maker, is the strategic partner of CPG for the RC line of chocolates.
With over 30 years of hands-on experience in her own chocolate
factory, she has perfected the art of making gourmet chocolate for
those who demand the best in quality, design, taste, nutrition and
health. She has joined forces with CPG to create a line of dark
chocolates with fruits and other all-natural ingredients, for sale by
CPG in the USA and for export worldwide. Ms. Gustafson also manages
her Rose Chocolate Treasures retail shop in Pike Place Market, the
popular tourist destination in downtown Seattle, where her chocolate
creations and other CPG gourmet food products can be purchased.
Amy
Webster
Director of Marketing, CPG Tours, the Travel Division of CPG
Ms. Webster is in charge of executive travel and special interest
tours at CPG.
She puts together corporate outings, incentive trips, trade missions
and other special interest events for clients of CPG in China and Asia
Pacific. She works closely with travel professionals in the USA, China
and the Pacific Rim, creating new tours and exciting itineraries, all
at the executive level. Prior to joining CPG, she has spent more than
20 years as a senior manager and travel consultant for some of the
major travel firms and cruise lines in the USA, including US Travel
and Doug Fox Travel.

Alliance Partners
Ms. Melissa Reis and Off-The-Grid
LLC
Ms. Reis and her firm Off-The-Grid LLC are strategic partners of CPG
in the area of corporate promotions and merchandising. The partners
work closely together in designing and producing products for use by
American and international corporations in special events, from
shareholder meetings to corporate outings, from trade shows to
consumer advertising. Completed projects by the partners include the
creation and production of licensed merchandise (hard goods, soft
goods and gourmet specialty foods) for a Hollywood film studio,
manufacturers and distributors of games, museums, cruise lines, banks,
insurance companies, restaurant chains and travel agencies. Ms. Reis
hails from the entertainment and games industry.
Mr.
Heinrich K. Koehler and Continental Travel
Mr.
Koehler is an advisor to CPG Tours, the travel division of CPG. His
own firm, Continental Travel of Mercer Island, Washington, serves as
the retail travel agency for CPG Tours.
For the past 25 years Mr. Koehler has focused on providing
personalized corporate and vacation travel of the highest standard to
a select international clientele. Mr. Koehler previously worked for
Pan American World Airways for 13 years in various management
positions, and traveled extensively throughout the world representing
the airline. He attended the University of Washington Graduate School
of Business Administration and is an active member of the German
Chamber of Commerce in Seattle. |
