Richland Hills: The Taste of Good
Life
Hailing from the premier wine region of USA,
Richland Hills wines blend cherished varieties of grape with the
supreme essence of nature found only in the vineyards of Washington.
The Appellation of Columbia Valley
Richland Hills wines are made of grapes from
Columbia Valley, located east of the Cascade Mountains in Washington
State, USA. The mountains shield our grapes from the maritime
weather of the Pacific Ocean, limiting rainfall to just 6-8 inches
annually. With low rainfall, free-draining soil, an average of 17.4
hours of daily sunshine coupled with cool nights, our grapes ripen
fully with high content of natural acids, allowing our wine makers
to produce wines of character and distinction.
The Art of Making Richland Hills
Picked when temperatures are cool, the grapes
are crushed and inoculated with selected yeast strains. Controlled
fermentation results in the just the right mix of color, aroma and
flavor. Upon completion of malolactic fermentation, the wine is
aged in oak for added complexity.
